Hear from our Public Speaking Workshop Participant Dalal
Dalal Kamal Eisa
23 years
Kabarto camp, Duhok (Internally Displaced Person)
“Educate yourself and get out of your comfort zone, and you will reap the benefits. At Weh Center through the Public Speaking Course I realized that every voice has a place, you just need to find that support system”.
Before receiving assistance, Dalal lived in Sinjar with her family and enjoyed a relatively secure life despite the poor infrastructure and economy. However, their peace was shattered by the 2014 attacks, forcing them to flee their home and live in a camp with limited income and no job prospects.
To support her family and improve her employment opportunities, Dalal graduated from Business College and enrolled in public speaking courses at Weh Center after hearing about it from a friend. These courses equipped her with valuable communication and public speaking skills that have proved useful in her professional life.
Thanks to her education and training, Dalal has been able to create a more stable environment for herself and her family, with better prospects for the future
