Weh café
The Weh women's Cafe - implemented with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbei (GIZ)
- the first women's cafe in Duhok, offers a safe and welcoming space for women to come together to learn, enjoy and support each other. At the cafe all women and girls of Duhok can freely express themselves, while having access to a wide range of holistic services at the WEH Women's Health and Community Center and also build support groups and networks to empower themselves through economic opportunities and community bonding.
The Cafe aims to provide good quality menu at economical prices, in order that everyone has fair access to this inclusive, social and relaxing space. WEH cafe gives women the opportunity to receive support (through the WEH Center) and facilitate as a space that helps build, nourish and sustain a long-term community ecosystem.
Our female staff has received Barista and Café Management training from Elpida Consultancy Services - one of the pioneers of good coffee in Duhok.
WEH café is open 5 days a week from 09:00 am to 05:30 pm
