Early Childhood Care Training Course

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, the WFBH Weh Center inaugurated a specialized course on early childhood care with the participation of doctors and healthcare workers from all health directorates across the Kurdistan Region. The five-day course, running from June 30 to July 4, 2024, was launched by UNICEF in collaboration with the General Directorate of Health of Duhok Province and the Ministries of Health of both the Federal Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. This training program highlights the critical role of early childhood development, a crucial phase that shapes a child's mental, speech, and social growth. Proper implementation of such programs ensures the development of healthier, well-rounded individuals, ultimately benefiting society. The course was primarily designed for doctors, as they play a key role in implementing early childhood care programs within health centers. Moving forward, this initiative will be integrated into healthcare facilities to enhance child development services across the region.
