Nurse Reintegration Training

The main objective of this program was to strengthen the health services and workforce to improve the health service delivery outcomes. The nurses selected to this program received specialized practical trainings at teaching facilities according to national standards before they could be deployed. Nurses would receive a monthly stipend to cover housing and living costs during the re-activation period (1 year). After the practical training depending on existing knowledge and experience, re-activated nurses will be deployed to severely understaffed health facilities as identified by DoH. Topics of the training included: • • Communication skills • Importance of PSS in hospital work • Panic Disorder and required psychological first aid • GBV, how to detect the cases and how to deal with them within local regulation • Coping with stressors • Patient rights • Self-care after work load and learning • Relaxation techniques and exercises
